About Lipodissolve

What is Lipodissolve?
A combination of several different chemicals that are naturally occurring in the human body.  Phosphatidycholine (PPC) was discovered in the 1950's, and was found to work in treating fat clots in the bloodstream.  Deoxycholate is a human bile salt also found to dissolve fat.  These are combined with a few other substances and injected to melt fat deposits

How does it work?
The lipodissolve formula, given through a number of small injections, causes bursting of fat cells, breakdown and transport of fat molecules, inflammation, and stimulation of new collagen formation.

Who can undergo Lipodissolve?
Most anybody who has areas of fat they would like removed.  It works especially well for the thighs, upper and lower abdomen, hips and "love handles", and the upper arms.

Who cannot undergo Lipodissolve?
Those who are pregnant or nursing, those with severe illness or liver or kidney disease, heart or blood vessel disease, or certain immune disorders.  Also those allergic to soy cannot undergo lipodissolve injections.

How is Lipodissolve given?
A number of small injections into the area of desired reduction are given approximately every 6-8 weeks.  Treatments can be given in different, alternating areas every 2 weeks.  Generally 3-4 treatments in the same area (sometimes less, sometimes more) are required to achieve the desired cosmetic result.

Is it safe? Short answer-Yes.
The chemicals in lipodissolve have been used for years in medical applications, and are naturally occurring.  Additionally, it is felt that the enzyme solution itself has antibacterial action, so infections are extremely rare. Protocols have been developed and are administered by Doctor Houston, a. trained and certified physician.

What are the side effects?
The injections work by causing an inflammatory reaction to fat and fat cells, so typical symptoms of inflammation will occur such as redness, swelling, burning, pain or tenderness.  These usually last 2-3 days.  Nausea, loose stool, or increased urination can occasionally occur.  Also one should not use a sauna for a week, or sunbathe for 7-10 days after a treatment as it may increase hyper pigmentation at the sites of injections.

Will it work for me?
Almost certainly!  Thousands of patients in the U.S. and in Europe have achieved great results.  Over 72% of patients have satisfactory results in just 3 - 4 sessions, and after 6 treatments the failure rate is less than 4%.
